There is a lot of freedom that comes with affiliate marketing for moms because you get to choose which niche you want to be in, what products you want to promote, and what platforms you want to use to promote them.
Here are some of the top platforms for promoting affiliate products:
Blog/Website
While you don’t need to have a website or blog in order to promote affiliate products, it’s definitely something you’ll want to have if you plan to earn a decent or even an outrageous income doing affiliate marketing for moms. Here are some things you can do with your blog:
- Write review articles or even articles on a related topic and link to the affiliate products that make sense for a person reading that article.
- Include banners, videos, and ads.
- Write sponsored posts and actually get paid by a company to write a review.
- Promote your articles on social media.
There is really no limit to what you can do with affiliate marketing when you have your own website.
Pinterest has recently changed their rules to allow affiliate links, so even if you don’t have a website, you can promote your affiliate links right within Pinterest. If you do have a website, you can write blogs and pin those on Pinterest.
Pinterest is an amazing way to earn while you are building an audience. It is really more of a search engine than a social media platform, and their algorithm makes it pretty easy to get your pins to rank and go viral. You just need to know some quick tips that can be learned in an hour or two, which can be gained from a simple Pinterest course.
There are many different ways to promote affiliate products on Facebook. We love the Facebook method that we explain here. But, you can also create a Facebook page and post your articles or videos that link to your affiliate products. There are some creative ways to run Facebook ads to affiliate offers too.
NOTE: Facebook does not allow affiliate links, so you’ll need to create content to link to on Facebook that has the affiliate link in it instead of just posting the actual affiliate link on Facebook.
YouTube
A YouTube channel is another great way to do affiliate marketing for moms, especially if you’d rather talk than write and you are comfortable in front of a camera. One of the most effective ways to do this strategy is to do review videos of products that fit within your niche. We explained that method in our article about how to do affiliate marketing without any money here.
Once you build up an email list, it’s one of the best ways to promote affiliate products. You can offer a free download that is related to your niche on your website or social media and have people opt in to receive it using software like Active Campaign and Sendlane.
Then, email them the gift and some follow up emails with additional valuable information. Sprinkle in some emails that promote affiliate products that you think your list would like. Be sure to offer more valuable content than promotions, and make sure your offers are always very targeted to what they would like. Otherwise, they’ll just unsubscribe.
