I know what’s going through your head.
You’re wondering if the title of this article is just clickbait. You want to know how to make $1000 fast (like in a week), but you also want it to be feasible and legit. And, you don’t want it to cost you anything either. And that’s exactly what I’m going to share with you.
I’m really excited to share how I was able to earn money online fast. It’s actually how I started out in business, and it got me off to an incredible start. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today if I wouldn’t have done this.
What we’re going to do here is literally what every single company on planet earth does: buy something and sell it for more. And this is done in two different ways:
- Physical Products – You can do this with physical products like shoes and shirts. That’s how Nike works, right? They’re producing it out of country and then they’re bringing it into the country and selling it for more.
- Time – You can also do this with time. For example, agencies hire employees and pay them say $20 an hour and then they market out their agency for $40 an hour. They are basically buying and selling someone’s time.
What we’re going to do is exactly that. Instead of being the employee who is making half the money that he should be making or the client that’s paying twice as much as they should be paying, we are going to be the company that makes the margins.
Here’s how to make $1000 fast…
By creating a mini digital marketing agency.
And I know you are thinking, “I don’t want to have a digital marketing agency,” but keep reading and I promise it’s going to make sense. You’ll see how easy this is to set up and how fast you can make money.
All we’re going to do is find people with skills in all different categories and we’re going to connect them with businesses that don’t know how to find people with skills (which honestly is most businesses).
Not only will you know how to make a quick $1000, you’ll also know how to make money with no money. You can either watch the video below or read the article to find out how…
How to Make $1000 Fast Online – Your Step-by-Step Guide
I’m going to walk you through step-by-step and show you how to earn money online fast by finding both of those sides of the picture – both the clients and the workers – as well as how to make it all work.
Step 1 – Choose a Niche
First, you’ll need to choose what you want to offer so that you know what kind of workers to hire and what you are going to offer to your potential clients. Preferably, it will be something that costs a fair amount of money so that you have room for your markup.
The things I’ve seen work the best are:
- Web design
- Funnel design
- Graphic design
- Copywriting
- Software
- Paid advertising (FB and Google)
- Facebook page
- SEO
- Linkbuilding
These are things that almost every business is in need of and most businesses are struggling to find someone who is good at doing them.
HERE’S A BONUS TIP: Niche down even further.
If you really want to know how to make $1000 fast, instead of just saying, “Hey, I’ve got a copywriting agency,” take it one step further. Say, “I’ve got a copywriting agency for realtors” or “I do graphic design for realtors” or “I do Facebook ads for Chiropractors.”
When you do that, it makes you the specialist in their eyes and they’ll be like, “Oh wow, this guy does Facebook ads for Chiropractors. He knows me!”
Step 2 – Hire a Contractor
The next step for knowing how to make $1000 fast is to find the contractors that are going to be doing the work. There are several places where you can do this, but the first is my favorite.
Where to Find Contractors
Upwork is the best place to find freelancers and contractors because you can vet them easier than on any other platform. You can read reviews and see how people have worked with past clients before you make a hiring decision. You can see how many hours they’ve worked on Upwork, the percentage of people that were happy with them, as well as many other attributes and stats that will help you make your decision.
Onlinejobs.ph is another option, and while you can get better deals there, you’ll often have to go through several people before you find the right one because you can’t see reviews beforehand. You might hire someone that turns out to be bad for your business and not do the job that they promised they would do, which obviously wouldn’t be a win.
Fiverr.com can definitely be worth it in certain instances, and you can see reviews on there as well. But, there are some cons to hiring people on Fiverr and you can read about them here.
How to Use Upwork to Find Contractors
Let’s do a little walkthrough of Upwork so that you can see firsthand how powerful of a tool it is.
In this scenario, let’s say that we are going to do graphic design. You’ll just type in “graphic design” in the search field and it’s going to pull up all of these graphic designers.
Then turn off “U.S. only” because that tends to be more expensive and we’re trying to make margins here. Believe me, there are plenty of good contractors outside of the U.S.
Next, go to Filters and set up the following settings:
- 80% Job Success – This means that at least 80% of the people that hired them were happy with them. It also means that they have at least some reviews from past clients and you can read them.
- Conversational – I require a conversational level of English because I want to be able to talk to them. If you were hiring a copywriter, you would want them to be fluent.
- $100+ or $1k Earned – If I’m hiring for my own business, I’ll usually require at least $10k earned, but when I’m hiring for this kind of thing, a lower amount will allow me to get better rates.
- 1+ Hours Billed – I usually require that they’ve at least worked for 1 hour on Upwork so that they aren’t brand new. I want them to have a little bit of history here before I take a risk with them.
Now, let’s look at our results. You can see we’ve got Dalia for $10/hour. She’s a graphic designer from Egypt. She’s made about $1000 on Upwork and she has a 90% job success rate.
You could pay a little more. In this case $25/hour, which would mean you’d need to charge your client for more ($45 or $50 an hour) or you could do a project-based price that you’re sure you could cover on the expenses side. But in this case, Laren has $3k earned and 97% Job Success.
Here’s an awesome one from Ukraine. I’ve hired multiple employees from Ukraine and love them. She makes $10/hour, she has earned $2k, which means she’s worked 200 hours on Upwork, and every client has been happy with her. She is an illustrator and a graphic designer.
So you’re starting to see how to make $1000 fast and how to make money with no money, right? You can pay $10/hour, but it’s clearly someone who’s good at what they are doing and knows what they are doing, and their clients tend to be happy with them.
There are plenty of people that will pay $20, $30, $40/hour for a graphic designer, and you just have to be the middle man. You are the agency. You have an employee or multiple employees, and you have clients.
If I was looking to do this, Alina is probably the first hire I would make. So now, you have your first employee. She makes $10/hour and you don’t have to pay her for 40 hours a week or anything like that. She’s a contractor, so she only works as many hours as you give her, and she probably has other clients as well.
Step 3 – Find Clients
Now, we are ready to find clients so that we can actually earn money online fast, and the best way to do that is to use Facebook. It’s really simple.
All you need to do is find a bunch of Facebook groups where your ideal clients hang out. So, for example, if your niche is realtors, you could type that in Facebook’s search field and see that there are tons of realtor groups, which gives you thousands of realtors at your fingertips.
Online business could be another niche. Or even passive income, because people who are looking for passive income typically have an online business.
So, all we are doing is putting ourselves in the place where our ideal clients would be. There are two ways to use these groups to find clients (and you should be doing both).
1) Look for People Who Are Looking for the Services You Offer
Now, you can’t just join these Facebook groups and expect to start getting clients. You need to be constantly monitoring these groups and building relationships within these groups. Here’s how you do it:
Look Through the Posts in the Groups 2-3 Times a Day
Talk to people as they post and as they ask questions. You’d be blown away by how many times people ask questions in these Facebook groups but the answer is on Google. All you have to do is Google it and then comment with the answer, and then that person will think you’re an authority figure in that niche.
So don’t feel like you don’t know what you’re doing. You definitely know what you’re doing if you know how to use Google because a lot of people don’t.
Search for Certain Words on Facebook & Comment on Them With Your Solution
The second way to look for posts is to search right on Facebook for things like the following:
- hiring
- hire
- help
- pay
- how much
- charge
Look for posts that contain those words and then comment on them. Here’s a great example of a post that you could comment on:
When you see a post like this, you could comment and say something like, “I’ve started an agency. I have a graphic designer on my team. She does awesome work. You can see her portfolio here” (grab the link from Upwork).
There’s nothing unethical about this. This is how businesses work. You make a deal on both sides and everyone is getting what they asked for. The client is happy and you figured out how to make $1000 fast while building something that can keep bringing in that money.
But the deal is, you’re not just here to make extra money. You’re here, like the guy in the above example said, to build lasting relationships. He’s looking for a relationship with somebody who he can trust to give tasks to and they’ll manage them.
Let’s look at some additional examples of posts that you could comment on…
This person was looking for email marketing software. You could talk to them about setting up their email marketing for them.
This person is looking for someone to set up an automated email campaign so you could hire an email marketing specialist.
This one is looking for someone to build a ClickFunnel.
And all of this happened in the last few days in Facebook groups that I joined.
All you have to do is hop on and say, “Hey, I have an agency. We do funnel building and I’d be happy to take on that project and make sure that you get what you want. Here’s my rate.” Then you pay your employee and take the middle.
2) Talk About Your Agency on Your Personal Profile
The other way to go about finding clients is to promote your agency on your personal profile. Add a profile pic and a cover photo about your agency. And treat your Facebook page like a mini website.
Start adding friends from the groups you joined, and start making posts about helpful digital marketing tips. Then, once or twice a week, make a post about your services and offer a special deal.
You could say, “Hey, I don’t know if you guys know this but I actually offer design work. We’re offering a special where it’s only $20/hour right now.”
Can you see how people would reply to that? I myself have replied multiple times to posts just like that.
For example, I just hired a guy that does tech. All he did was write a post saying he helps people with their tech problems (which I deal with everyday). I hopped in and said I’m totally interested and I knew who he was already because we had talked before in these groups.
So, there you go – that’s two extremely viable ways to find clients quickly:
- You are looking for people who are actively looking (which is the hot traffic).
- Then you’re actively talking about your agency and putting it out there.
Managing Your Agency
Now, it’s important to point out that this is not a set it and forget it business. You will need to manage your employees and make sure that your clients are getting what they want from your employees.
Sometimes, you’ll reach out to your employee and they won’t give you what you want and you’ll have to go back and forth. Sometimes, you’ll have to argue with them and even change employees to make it work.
You are going to have to make sure everyone is happy here. And hopefully you’ll be a good person and do good by your clients and your employees.
This is not really a passive income stream because even though you aren’t doing the actual work, you still need to manage it.
But it is so worth it because not only did I just show you how to make $1000 fast, I also showed you how to make money with no money. And even more than that, you can easily grow this into a $10,000/month agency within 60-90 days.
If you do this right, you can have everything running in a week. You can have your first few clients and get your first payment within a week. And that’s all totally feasible (I know because I did it when I was just starting out).
What I love about Facebook is that there are millions of people in these groups looking for help and they know a lot less than you just by knowing what you know now.
What’s Even Better Than This?
Even better than knowing how to make $1000 fast is earning passive income. I recently got back from a one month backpacking trip, and my business kept running and I kept making money. That’s the beauty of passive income.
It’s not a solution for how to make a quick $1000 because it usually takes some time to build up, but once you do, it keeps coming in no matter what you’re doing.
