Looking for jobs you can do on your phone? Or are you interested in a side job but don’t want to be bound to your computer all day?

Either way, I get it.

And fortunately, you’re not out of luck if you’re looking for jobs you can do on your phone.

If you’re ready to start earning, try these seven ideas.

Jobs You Can Do on Your Phone

1. App Tester
2. Social Media Influencer
3. Survey Taker
4. ReSeller
5. Become an ESL Tutor
6. Complete Small Tasks
7. Social Media and Search Engine Evaluator

1. App Tester

App Tester

An easy job to do from your phone? Test apps and websites.

While these gigs aren’t constant, they are decent-paying side hustles. For example, an average app or website test that takes 20 minutes can pay up to $15.

That’s a great hourly rate.

Some of these companies may make you do an initial assessment from your PC, but afterward, you should be able to do all the app testing jobs from your phone.

Here are a few places to sign up to be an app tester:

2. Social Media Influencer

Social Media Influencer

If your eyes started to roll as soon as you saw this one, stop for a sec.

As cringey as calling oneself an “influencer” is, you can turn this into a well-paying job that you can do entirely from your phone.

Because being a social media influencer doesn’t mean you have to talk about yourself all the time. It also doesn’t mean you have to call yourself an influencer.

What it does mean is that you’ve built an audience around a specific topic.

A topic that you can monetize with product sales, affiliate links, or brand partnerships.

To get started, you need to choose the niche you’d like to build an audience around. This should be something you’re interested in and know a lot about.

After that, determine which social media platform to use.

The three most popular are Instagram, Tik-Tok, and Facebook.

Once you’ve chosen your topic and platform, you need to consistently create and share content that resonates with your audience. Then, as your reach grows, you can think about how you’d like to monetize.

3. Survey Taker

Survey Taker

It’s not a secret – taking surveys isn’t one of the best ways to make money online. It is, however, an excellent way to make money from your phone.

Of course, like anything else, there are pros and cons to taking surveys.

First, the pros – it’s easy to sign up, there are tons of companies to sign up with, and you can take surveys from any mobile device.

Now, the cons – there aren’t always surveys to take, and a lot of the time, the pay isn’t worth your time.

Still, being a survey taker is an excellent way to earn a few hundred dollars per year and is something you can do from your phone while you’re watching your favorite TV Show.

If you’re interested in taking surveys, here are the best companies to sign up with:

4. ReSeller

Jobs you can do on your phone - ReSeller

Looking for a business you can start from your phone? Becoming a reseller might be one of the most popular.

As a reseller, you can sell any type of item, from things you thrift to products you buy wholesale to your own custom creations.

You can download apps like eBay, Mercari, or Etsy if you’re selling online. (The downside with these is that you will need access to a computer and printer to print shipping labels.)

If you want no part in shipping, you can sell items locally on Facebook or Craigslist.

5. Become an ESL Tutor

Jobs you can do on your phone - Become an ESL Tutor

Interested in helping Chinese students learn the English language? If so, you can become an ESL teacher.

While most of these jobs require teaching degrees, a set schedule, and a computer, not all do.

The jobs listed below involve having conversations via video chat with non-native English speakers to work on their fluency.

NiceTalk – With the NiceTalk app, you’ll be holding conversations with Chinese students trying to improve their English skills. You will need stable high-speed internet and a quiet environment. Pay is $10/hour.

Cambly – With this company, you’ll video chat with people around the world looking to improve their English. No degree is needed. Pay is $10.20 per hour.

PalFish – PalFish is an app in which ESL tutors can teach English to non-native speakers. As a teacher on this app, you can set your own rates. You also make your own lessons, so this gig is best suited for those with teaching licenses.

6. Complete Small Tasks

If you’re looking for a flexible side hustle, consider downloading the Gig Walk or Field Agent apps.

These apps both work on the same premise: businesses post tasks, and as a user, you complete the tasks.

These tasks are usually things like “take a picture of a product display” or “find out the price of our product at X store.”

You get to choose which tasks you want to do and get paid for each job.

While this won’t be a full-time job, you can check these apps before heading to the store if you want to earn a little side money.

7. Social Media and Search Engine Evaluator

Jobs you can do on your phone - Social Media and Search Engine Evaluator

Appen is a company that hires independent contractors to evaluate search results on popular search engines and social media platforms.

While this job usually requires a combination of computer and smartphone work, some of the positions require contractors to complete the assignments on their mobile devices.

You can sign up to be an independent contractor through Appen here.

Conclusion

Whether you want a very part-time side hustle or a full-blown business, you can make that happen with your smartphone.

So, if you’re looking for jobs you can do on your phone, give one of these a try.

Here are a few more side hustles you should check out:

If you want complete flexibility, take surveys or test apps. If you’re looking for a full or part-time job, give social media evaluation or ESL tutoring a try.

And finally, if you want to start a business from your phone with unlimited income potential, creating a reselling business or building social media accounts are both fantastic ideas.
